YpsiWrites' theme this year is "Write for Change." Given this theme, what type of change do you think your writing inspires and what are your reasons for doing this writing?

My writing often holds up a mirror to the reader that reflects back a self they weren’t previously able to see. This can be a catalyst of change in self-regard, potential, loving oneself. My passion is creating writing that changes the reader, opens doors to understand themselves and others in meaningful ways.

In my work as an Instructional Designer, I empower folks by making learning a positive, seamless, and often fun experience.

What do you like about writing or why do you yourself like to write?

Writing is an intimate conversation at gut level. With myself, where I learn what I think; with others, where I connect with one who understands. I love that writing requires just a pen and paper, can be done anywhere (I love to hand write most of all). I love that the deepest parts of ourselves, even those we can’t quite see, connect through writing.
