Inspired by Art Kane’s A Great Day in Harlem photograph, and Writer of Ypsilanti Debbie Taylor’s book, Sweet Music in Harlem, we gathered writers, word-lovers, and community members for a photo on the steps of the Ypsilanti District Library to celebrate Ypsilanti’s creativity and spirit. YpsiWrites’ is committed to celebrating our “Telling Our Stories” theme this year and invited all members of the community to gather together to take this photo for posterity.
