YpsiWrites' theme this year is "Write for Change." Given this theme, what type of change do you think your writing inspires and what are your reasons for doing this writing?

I hope my writing offers mirrors for some who are able to see their own experience in my work and windows for others who are able to see the world in a new way through my stories.

What do you like about writing — or why do you yourself like to write?

I love the possibility that exists when you are draft and the precision that develops when you are revising. Getting the right words in the right order to evoke the right emotion is it's own kind of magic.
