New Possibilities and New Futures

Writing helps me to imagine new possibilities and new futures. Metaphor allows my brain to consider things I have never seen before. When I am stuck in a binary, writing allows me to see alternatives and solutions that break that either/or thinking. I feel very optimistic about how writing and the arts in general will help us collectively move through this difficult time in a way that yields transformative and humanizing change.
