How can we write and collaborate with our senses and surroundings? This offering, led by 2025-2026 Writer of Ypsilanti Stephanie Heit, invites us to inhabit, tend, and find pleasure in our inner and outer landscapes. There will be guided awareness exercises and creative prompts to tune into our senses, to bring attention to our bodily sensations, and to observe what we notice. We’ll experiment with different inputs, such as listening to a piece of music, wandering the space with attention to seeing, and describing a memory of touch. There will be time to share responses and experiences in an atmosphere of support, curiosity, and play. No experience necessary. Bring whatever writing materials you desire.
