Which kind of writing is your favorite and why?

Poetry is my favorite because it allows me to capture feelings and moments that might seem mundane or monotonous, yet reveal beauty and meaning when we pause to notice them. In my journalistic work, I hope to focus on issues people should be aware of and stories that highlight why communities must come together and advocate for change!

What would you like people to know about you as a person?

As a person, I hope to search for the bigger questions beneath the surface of what I write! I believe that even when a piece seems simple on the outside, there is always a sincerity to it, and with it the hope that it can resonate with the sincerity in others. Writing, for me, is a way to create those moments of genuine connection :)
