Kyunghee Kim

she/her

Primary Genres: poetry mostly along with short stories, essays, blogs, and now getting into writing a novel slowly

What part of the writing process do you enjoy the most and why? And what part of the process do you find the most challenging and why?

The start. I am the type to write without an outline. Maybe this isn't good, but it has worked for me. I also really enjoy collaborating with artists of different mediums for collaborations. The most challenging is ending a project- how should this poem end for example? It feels so final. It's hard.

What might you like people to know about you as a writer?

I believe in the power of words and stories. I tend to write lean and use simple words. I used to be embarrassed about this because my writing isn't exquisite by any means, but I always do write from the heart.
