What do you like about writing?

Typically, I'm juggling numerous projects and commitments. Writing helps me organize and present my thought processes to relay them more effectively to others. Writing requires me to focus my attention in a specific area so I can address it thoroughly.

What might you like people to know about you as a writer?

Much of my professional career has been spent as an instructor, so I lean toward non-fiction writing because I enjoy sharing knowledge that people can use. In the case of travel writing, it provides an opportunity to educate travelers about places, cultures and experiences that may be outside of their comfort zone, and help them acclimate to try something new.
